According to a tech expert named Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, Apple is getting ready to make some big announcements at the end of this month, probably on the 30th or 31st. They might reveal updates to the 24-inch iMac, which they first introduced in the spring of 2021. This new iMac might have better technology, but we’re not sure if it will use the M3 chip or the M2 chip. Either way, it should make the iMac even better.
Apple is also working on a fancier iMac with a larger 32-inch screen, but we’ll have to wait until late 2024 or 2025 for that one.
They’re also thinking about updating the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models, which might sound surprising because they just released the M2 generation in January. But Apple has done things like this before.
In his newsletter, Mark Gurman talks about how Apple is trying to use artificial intelligence (AI) more in their products. They noticed that AI is becoming a big deal, so they’re working hard to catch up. Some important Apple executives like Craig Federighi, John Giannandrea, and Eddy Cue are leading the way.
In the future, Apple’s products will have AI features. For example, in the next version of iOS (iOS 18), you might get smarter suggestions when you’re sending messages. Apple is also thinking about using AI to make playlists in Apple Music and to make their productivity apps like Pages and Keynote even better. Siri, the voice assistant on Apple devices, will also become smarter with the help of AI.
Apple is not just thinking about using AI in their products but also in their tools for developers. This might help developers write code more easily. They are also trying to make their customer support (AppleCare) better with the help of AI.
NEW in Power On: Apple ramps up generative AI work with plan to push the technology to several products and services. Company is working on revamped Siri and LLM features in Messages, Pages, Keynote, Apple Music, Xcode and more. https://t.co/3xwhck5JBs
